Certificate in developing skills for Early Years Practice (NCFE Level 2)

Target Group:


The qualification is aimed at those working at level 2 as assistants or voluntary workers, under supervision and with a limited range of responsibility in a  playgroup setting, who wish to achieve a formal qualification to follow a career in childcare/early years practice. 


What the course covers:

The course covers skills required by those working as assistants or volunteers in various early years settings and provides a grounding in the skills and knowledge required to plan, deliver and evaluate experiences and activities for the Early Years Foundation Stage.  It also provides candidates with some initial training in preparing for OFSTED inspections as appropriate to their role and level of involvement.

How to enrol:

This course runs once a year for 30 weeks with sessions of 3 hours - at present starting in November. You will need to put your name on  the waiting list for the next course by ringing the office or giving your name to one of our workers. NB this course is not currently running.
